Compete against other Recreation Center members in our billiards tournament!

Teen Recreation Center members are invited to compete in the Bronx’s 8-Ball Tournament!

Pool tables are available at many of NYC Parks’ Recreation Centers around the city, included in your membership. Recreation Center members from the Bronx compete for the title, and the chance to play in the championship!

The top players from the tournament make it to the championship on November 13 at Chelsea Recreation Center. Championship prizes are being generously provided by Predator Cues, with support from professional pool player Tony Robles.

Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead. After meeting a charming trickster named Héctor, the two new friends embark on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.

You should arrive before 4:00 p.m. to get your spot. Feel free to bring a blanket to sit on; there will be a limited supply of chairs available. Bottled waters are OK, but no glass. Reservations are not taken; space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. All are welcome!

Bronx Sports Extravaganza: Teen Fitness
Teens ages 13-17 are invited for free fitness instruction at St. James Recreation Center!

Teens ages 13-17 are invited for free fitness instruction at St. James Recreation Center! Learn the basics of proper exercise and nutrition. No registration required! Drop in anytime. The program will take place both inside the center and outside in the field.

Instructional clinics are taking place until September at Hunts Point and St. James Recreation Centers in the Bronx. The season will culminate in a Sports Festival on Saturday, September 19, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Hunts Point Recreation Center.

The Bronx Sports Extravaganza is sponsored by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and ESPN. Their Access to Sports Grant was provided to NYC Parks to expand youth sports opportunities through programming, infrastructure improvements and the supply of equipment.
