The Wiz re-tells the story of The Wizard of Oz, but is a classic in its own right. The movie stars a young, African-American kindergarten teacher named Dorothy who has “never been below 125th Street”. After chasing her dog in a snowstorm, she finds herself in Oz, a place that looks just like 1970’s NYC. Imagine that! Follow her as she struggles to find her way back home. Rated G.
