Volunteer with the Stewardship Team to protect forested areas in Forest Park! Volunteers will learn how to identify and safely remove invasive plants in order to help restore the forest and create a healthier ecosystem. They will also be installing trail blazes along the birding trail. Come dressed in sturdy boots or shoes, long pants, and clothing that can get dirty. The NYC Parks Wheelchair Football Clinic welcomes girls and boys to take part in instructional drills, strategy, and game play. All equipment is provided. Teams consist of six players and must include one female and one quadriplegic participant. The field is 60 yards by 22 yards with 8 yards at each end zone. First down marker lines are drawn every 15 yards. Games are played in two 20 minute halves with 10 minutes for halftime. Scoring a touchdown is 6 points.

National Night Out is an annual summer event in which precincts organize anti-crime rallies with the participation of local business and civic organizations.
National Night Out is an annual summer event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watches in which precincts organize anti-crime rallies with the participation of local business and civic organizations. Various Police Department units present displays, and other City, State and Federal agencies also take part. National Night Out has proven to be an effective and enjoyable police/community partnership. It is held on the first Tuesday of August every year.

The league welcomes all persons with disabilities who use wheelchairs to take part in instructional drills, strategy, and game play.
Victory Field’s entrance is located on the corner of Woodhaven Blvd and Forest Park Drive with the cross streets of Forest Park Drive and Myrtle Avenue.
