A professional musician for over 50 years, Queens-born saxophonist / multi-instrumentalist Alvin Flythe has worked with Duke Ellington, Roy Haynes, Little Jimmy Scott and the Gap Band.

A professional musician for over 50 years, Queens-born saxophonist / multi-instrumentalist Alvin Flythe has worked with Duke Ellington, Roy Haynes, Little Jimmy Scott and the Gap Band. His small-group jazz performances, like this one, offer searing tributes to sax greats like John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins and Sonny Stitt.
