Fish Parade
As the Hunts Point community begins to celebrate the summer season, the largest annual celebration returns to Hunts Point to entertain community residents, families, and businesses.

As the Hunts Point community begins to celebrate the approaching summer season, the largest annual celebration returns to Hunts Point to entertain community residents, families, and businesses.

Parade registration starts at 10:30 a.m. at Hunts Point Riverside Park. At 11:30 p.m., the Fish Parade will start marching through Hunts Point.

Prizes will be awarded for best costumes and floats based on the theme.

The Summer Festival starts at noon at Barretto Point Park, with a basketball tournament, Greening the City Arts Festival, prizes, food, activities, and performances.

Ana Carmela Ramirez combines a solid academic musical training and practice on singing and composition, with an interest in different genres and sounds. Since she was nine years old she was part of the National System of Youth and Children’s Orchestras of Venezuela. At the age of 15 she developed an interest for folk music. She has performed all over the world and lately released an album with Gabriel Chakarji called “Vida”. She graduated form the School of Jazz in The New School.

Rocking the Boat: Free Community Rowing and Sailing
Through Community Rowing, you’ll explore the Bronx River aboard student-built wooden row boats and learn about local waterways.

Rocking the Boat invites you all to free community rowing experience.

Through Community Rowing, you’ll explore the Bronx River aboard student-built wooden row boats and learn about local waterways. The free program takes place every Saturday from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

For three of those days, community members can also try their hand at sailing.

Free Sailing

The City’s only sailing program aims to make sailing a staple of the South Bronx waterfront. Free sailing takes place on:

  • Sunday, June 10
  • Saturday, August 12
