City Harvest’s Skip Lunch Fight Hunger
Skip Lunch Fight Hunger demonstrates how even a small donation can make a big difference—the cost of an average lunch, just $10, helps feed 41 hungry children.
“
Skip Lunch Fight Hunger is City Harvest’s annual spring fundraising initiative that asks individuals and employees at companies across New York City to donate what they would normally spend on lunch to help feed hungry children and their families over the summer.
Over 400,000 children in our city don’t know where their next meal is coming from, and these children risk missing meals over the summer when access to free school meals may become limited. Skip Lunch Fight Hunger demonstrates how even a small donation can make a big difference—the cost of an average lunch, just $10, helps feed 41 hungry children.
