Green Neighborhood: Canarsie
Volunteers will remove invasive species such as Japanese Knotweed, Mugwort, and Asiatic bittersweet.
Volunteer with the Stewardship Team to help us preserve our woodlands in Canarsie, Brooklyn! Volunteers will remove invasive species such as Japanese Knotweed, Mugwort, and Asiatic bittersweet. If time allows, we may also transition our work in to cleaning up the coastline nearby.
Volunteers will be trained in forest ecology and trail management techniques.
Come dressed in workboots or shoes, and clothing that can get dirty.
