MillionTreesNYC Planting Day at W.T. Davis Wildlife Refuge
Join us to help plant new forest trees at W.T. Davis Wildlife Refuge in Staten Island!
Planting trees is the first step to a healthy urban forest! Eight years ago, the city launched the MillionTreesNYC initiative with an ambitious goal: to plant and care for one million new trees across the city. The benefits to be gained were clear: improved air and water quality; reduced pollution from storm water runoff, flooding and erosion; and reduced energy costs, to name a few.
Since 2007, we have come a long way towards reaching our goal of planting one million trees, and we are confident that we will get there.
We invite you to join us this spring to plant trees at William T. Davis Wildlife Refuge with us!
Registration for this event is required. Register online.

Eight years ago, the city launched MillionTreesNYC with an ambitious goal: to plant and care for one million new trees across the city. The benefits to be gained were clear: improved air and water quality; reduced pollution from storm water runoff, flooding and erosion; and reduced energy costs, to name a few. But MillionTreesNYC is just the first step in enhancing and preserving New York City’s urban forest. Tree care and stewardship are the next critical steps to ensuring the survival of our urban forest. Since 2007, we have come a long way towards reaching our goal of planting one million trees, and we are confident that we will get there. We invite you to join us this fall to plant trees in Buck’s Hollow on Saturday November 7!
