St. George Day Festival
The 7th Annual St. George Day Festival is an arts and Earth Day festival celebrating our community and dragons.

The 7th Annual St. George Day Festival is an arts and Earth Day festival celebrating our community and dragons.
Celebrate the arts of the North Shore as well as the Earth at this unique festival, featuring a giant dragon parade, puppet show, three jam-packed stages of live entertainment, kids crafts, art vendors, recycling games, henna tattoos and a book fair.
The St. George Day Festival is Staten Island’s largest Earth Day event, with exhibits, demonstrations and participatory activities to encourage people to think about our natural resources and environmental sustainability. The event will include a free store (so bring your old give-aways) as well as electronics recycling (don’t forget those old computers and such). The festival is an exciting event that brings people together to experience culture, diversity, art, and community all while having fun with dragons.

Jones Woods Green Neighborhood Street Tree Care
Join NYC Parks Stewardship as we care for street trees in the neighborhood of Jones Woods.
Join NYC Parks Stewardship as we care for street trees in the neighborhood of Jones Woods. This is event is part of our monthly Green Neighborhood series.
Volunteers will learn how to aerate, cultivate, mulch, and identify street trees.
Volunteers should dress in clothes that can get dirty and wear closed-toed shoes. They are also encouraged to bring their own water bottles. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone.
