For Buffy Summers (Kristy Swanson), nothing is the same after she meets Merrick Jamison-Smythe (Donald Sutherland). Merrick tells the teen that he’s been sent to train her to fight vampires, and he proves himself by displaying his supernatural powers. Buffy is a quick study, and soon takes fellow student Oliver Pike (Luke Perry) under her wing, repeatedly saving him from fierce bloodsuckers. But, when a very dangerous vampire (Rutger Hauer) gets rambunctious, she must go to war again. Rated PG-13.

Calling all Bocce enthusiasts! Join NYC Parks for our annual citywide face-off. Players compete in borough-wide tournaments, with the best teams advancing to the citywide championship. Winning teams will represent their borough in the NYC Parks Citywide Championship on September 15, 2018 at Marine Park, Brooklyn. Make sure you’re available to play then, too.
The tournament is open to ages 18 and older. 20 teams maximum.
Check in begins at 8:00 a.m. and the tournament starts at 9:00 a.m. Rain dates for this event is Sunday, September 9, 2018.

Most kids learn to ride in one session, but even if they don’t, they can join us for another free class!
Learn to Ride—kids is a free class for adults and mature teens who are ready to ride. It doesn’t matter how old you are, we’ll get you rolling in no time. With our safe, easy, effective method, Learn to Ride students learn how to balance, pedal, start, stop, and steer a bike, as well as adjust a helmet for proper fit. Most kids learn to ride in one session, but even if they don’t, they can join us for another free class!

This It’s My Park season, volunteer with City Access NY, Inc. to garden and open the space to the community at Dyker Beach Park.
The Therapeutic Garden Project for People of All Abilities (TGPPAA) will meet at the Dyker Beach Park open-air shelter at 14th Avenue and 86th Street. It will provide protection from mild rain or extreme summer heat.

How to Register:
Register online or sign up when you arrive at 8:00 a.m. You must arrive on time. You can register individually or as a group (four players make up a bocce team). Players must register for one borough only: either their home borough or where their preferred bocce court is located. Adults only.
