Movies Under the Stars: Monsters Inc
This animated feature from the creators of Toy Story shows us the life behind the scenes of things that go bump in the night. The big, blue, and fuzzy James P. Sullivan (Goodman) and his opinionated, one-eyed roommate Mike Wzowski (Crystal) are two professional “scare specialists”. Their job is to harness the energy created when they make little kids scream. This energy is bottled and keeps their society going. When they accidentally let a young girl named Boo into their world behind the closets and under the beds, it throws their life into chaos. Boo finds out that the monsters are more scared of her than she is of them. Paraphrase from Swank website.

Take a trip back in time to when star Monsters, Inc. employees Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) and James P. “Sulley” Sullivan (voice of John Goodman) were just two promising young students at Monsters University in this frightfully fun Disney/Pixar prequel. Long before they were lurking in closets for a living, Mike and Sulley were just two Scaring majors at Monsters University, dreaming of the day they would make children shriek in terror. When their heated competition to be the most fearsome in their class gets out of hand, however, Mike and Sulley find themselves ejected from the prestigious Scare Program, and they are forced to seek the aid of their oddball friends in order to get their education back on track.

Emotions run wild in the mind of a little girl who is uprooted from her peaceful life in the Midwest and forced to move to San Francisco in this Pixar adventure from director Pete Docter (Up, Monsters Inc.). Young Riley was perfectly content with her life when her father landed a new job in San Francisco, and the family moved across the country. Now, as Riley prepares to navigate a new city and attend a new school, her emotional headquarters becomes a hot bed of activity. As Joy (voice of Amy Poehler) attempts to keep Riley feeling happy and positive about the move, other emotions like Fear (voice of Bill Hader), Anger (voice of Lewis Black), Disgust (voice of Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith) make the transition a bit more complicated.
