In it’s second year, Bodypainting Day promises 100 fully nude models painted by 75 artists in the public streets of New York City. The theme of Bodypainting Day is “What the World Needs Now…” and at 4:00 p.m. all artists and models will march to the UN.
The purpose of the event is to promote free artistic expression, human connection through art and body acceptance. The models that will be painted are every day people of various ages, sizes and genders, including a trans-gender model, plus size models, and cancer survivors. Select volunteers from the public can sign up to get painted as well.

The participatory art project by Sebastian Masuda “Time After Time Capsule” is on view in New York City at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza.
Please bring your happy, colorful items and add your objects to the time capsule.
The Time After Time Capsule is part of an ongoing, multi-city participatory project with like capsules displayed last year in Miami, this year in New York and Amsterdam, and future cities are currently under consideration. In each location, the artist plans a series of children and family workshops collaborating with the project’s community to create colorful objects using their personal items and cute objects from 6%DOKIDOKI. The objects created by the participants will be inserted into the capsule sculpture coloring the work as more items are added throughout the duration of the installation. All will be united in 2020 in Tokyo to mark the Tokyo Olympics, bringing together the contained memories from all the participating cities.
