Prodigy Playoffs Youth Tech Workshop
Students try to save the world in Prodigy’s wizardry math game! They will compete with each other and defeat their enemies by solving magical grade-level math problems.
On West 25th Street between 9th Avenue and 10th Avenue. The media lab is located on the 5th floor.

Garden Kitchen Competition: Youth Tech Workshop
Students will learn about healthy living through researching simple and easy recipes. We will learn the basics of media production and how to use a dSLR camera for video production.
Students will learn about healthy living through researching simple and easy recipes. We will learn the basics of media production and how to use a dSLR camera for video production. On Thursday, students will film a “cooking competition” and prepare simple select/healthy dishes, including yogurt and granola, fruit salad, kale, and quinoa salad!
This workshop meets on August 22 and 24, and is designed for kids who are younger than 14 years old.

September is National Yoga Month! On Tuesday, September 30, Chelsea Recreation Center is celebrating its amazing yoga classes. Come to class dressed in red, white or blue. Exercise is that much more fun with a theme!
In Aqua Yoga, move your body with ease in the water, increase your range of motion, develop balance, flexibility, coordination, and a calm mind through yoga practice adapted to the pool environment.

National Girls and Women in Sports Day: Game On!
Celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day with NYC Parks! This fun event welcomes young people to participate in tons of free sports clinics and demos. Arrive early on to receive a free t-shirt.
Celebrate the incredible achievements of female athletes!
NYC Parks offers this event for free in honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
People of all ages and genders are welcome. Kids will get instruction in sports like volleyball and soccer from collegiate athletes. Plus, there’ll be fun fitness classes that adults can do too, so bring the whole family! You’ll also hear the inspiring stories of women who made their mark in the world of athletics.

12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Rugby, golf, wheelchair basketball, swim clinic, and juggling

Special note: Activities include aquatic sports for kids, so if you’re interested, please ensure your kids bring a swimsuit, swim cap and towel for the swimming pool. Those items are mandatory to participate.
