Represent your borough in a bocce head-to-head! Winners in this borough tournament go to the citywide championship.

Whether you’re a bocce enthusiast or a beginner, we welcome you! Join individually or as a group. Bocce is fun and easy to learn. We supply everything, so just come as you are. Adults only, please.

Teams should arrive at 8:00 a.m. Play will start at 9:00 a.m. Winning teams will go on to represent their borough in the NYC Parks Citywide Championship on September 20, 2014 in Juniper Valley Park, Queens. Make sure you’re available to play then as well, since substitutions will not be allowed.

Earlier in the month, Parks hosted borough-wide tournaments. The top teams from the borough tournaments are competing all day in the Championship, culminating in an awards ceremony to recognize the citywide winners. Stop by to support your borough’s team as they compete!

Are you unfamiliar with bocce? Or think you know how to play bocce? Even better. Demystify the game, and get tips and tricks from experienced players.

Did you know? New Yorkers have been playing bocce in the city since 1934! Parks installed its first bocce courts in Thomas Jefferson Park in East Harlem. The first tournament was put on by Parks in 1958. Learn more here.

Calling all Bocce enthusiasts! Join NYC Parks for our annual citywide face-off. Players compete in borough-wide tournaments, with the best teams advancing to the citywide championship.

Winning teams will represent their borough in the NYC Parks Citywide Championship on September 15, 2018 at Marine Park, Brooklyn. Make sure you’re available to play then, too.

The tournament is open to ages 18 and older. 16 teams maximum.

Check in begins at 8:30 a.m. and the tournament starts at 9:00 a.m. Rain date for this event is Sunday, September 9, 2018.

Calling all Bocce enthusiasts! Join NYC Parks for our annual citywide faceoff. Players compete in borough-wide tournaments, with the best teams advancing to the championship on September 26, 2015 in South Beach, Staten Island. One borough will be crowned the winner!

How to Register:

Register online or sign up when you arrive at 9:00 a.m. You must arrive on time. You can register individually or as a group (four players make up a bocce team). Players must register for one borough only: either their home borough or where their preferred bocce court is located. Adults only.

Players should arrive at 9:00 a.m. Games start at 10:00 a.m. Winning teams will represent their borough in the NYC Parks Citywide Championship on September 26, 2015 in South Beach, Staten Island. Make sure you’re available to play then, too.

The rain date for this event is Saturday, September 19.
